Printed Circuit Board Introduction
On the insulating substrate, a conductive pattern is obtained by printing according to a predetermined design. The conductive pattern includes a printed circuit and a printed component or a combination of both. Substrates that have completed the printed circuit and printed circuit processing are commonly referred to as printed circuit boards. (Printed Circuit Board, PCB).
1.The role of printed circuit boards in electronic products is as follows.
A.Provides mounting, fixing and supporting substrates for the assembly of electronic components.
B.Achieve electrical connection and insulation.
C.Provide identification and characters for installation, inspection and maintenance.

2.Commonly used printed circuit board substrate material
The printed circuit board can be divided into two types according to the substrate material: an organic substrate and an inorganic substrate: the organic substrate refers to a copper clad laminate (Copper Clad Laminatos, CCL): the inorganic substrate has a ceramic substrate, Metal substrate. Commonly used printed circuit board substrate materials include paper-based CCL, epoxy glass cloth-based CCL, composite-based CCL, metal-based CCL flexible CCL, ceramic substrate, and high-voltage circuit copper-clad polyimide fiberglass cloth laminates, BT resin.
Epoxy glass cloth base CCL is made of epoxy glass fiber cloth + adhesive, dried → copper clad → high temperature and high pressure process. Its characteristics are: excellent comprehensive performance; low water absorption, easy high-speed drilling, good mechanical and electrical properties; widely used in double-sided, multi-layer, medium and high-end electronic products. It is also the most commonly used PCB material for SMT.
Epoxy glass cloth copper clad laminates are flame retardant and non-flame retardant. FR-3, FR-4 and FR-5 are flame retardant and the inner layer is printed with a red mark. Among them, FR-4 is the most commonly used, and FR-5 can be used in the lead-free process.
